The recent RMC South Africa National Final at Zwartkops Raceway witnessed an exhilarating showcase of talent as Black Widow Racing’s young prodigies, Jayden van der Merwe in Micro Max and Franco Bensch in Mini Max, took on the challenging track with grit and determination.

Jayden van der Merwe – Micro Max: 

Jayden, competing in the Micro Max category, exhibited unwavering determination and skill throughout the event. Despite encountering an unfortunate incident during the second heat, Jayden managed to secure a 10th-place finish in that race. He continued to impress by finishing P10 in the following race after making an exceptional recovery from the contact.

In the subsequent races, Jayden’s performance continued to shine. He clinched an 8th-place finish in the third race and secured a commendable 7th-place finish in the fourth race. These strong finishes reflected his resilience and determination to overcome whatever challenge was thrown at him.

Jayden’s remarkable efforts throughout the weekend and the season as a whole led to a notable overall 6th position in the national Micro Max standings. This achievement is particularly impressive considering it’s his first season in the category. Franco Bensch – Mini Max: 

Franco, a promising racer representing Black Widow Racing in the Mini Max category, displayed impressive adaptability and skill in his rookie season. His consistent performance throughout the four races was noteworthy too.

In the first two races, Franco secured 8th-place finishes, showcasing his ability to maintain a strong position amidst tough competition. He maintained his momentum in the subsequent races, finishing 9th in both races three and four. This commendable consistency highlighted his potential as a young racer.
